Fayetteville Regional (Grannis Field) is a public airport located three miles southwest of the central business district of Fayetteville, in Cumberland County, North Carolina, United States. It is owned by the City of Fayetteville and operated by the Fayetteville Regional Airport Authority.
The airport covers an area of 1,200 acres (486 ha) and has two runways: 4/22 is 7,001 x 150 ft (2,134 x 46 m) with an asphalt surface; 18/36 is 5,501 x 150 ft (1,678 x 46 m) with a concrete surface.
In 2019, the airport had 68,313 aircraft operations, an average of 187 per day: 54% general aviation, 32% air taxi, 13% military, and <1% commercial. 189 aircraft were then based at this airport: 113 single-engine, 38 multi-engine, 19 jet engine, and 19 helicopter.
Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) is located in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina, serving the cities of Raleigh, Durham, and Fayetteville. The airport is a hub for American Airlines and Delta Air Lines, and offers service to many domestic and international destinations.
RDU is situated just off of Interstate 40, making it easy to get to from anywhere in the Triangle. The airport is just a short drive from downtown Raleigh, and about an hour from both Durham and Fayetteville.
